Interim Privacy Notice for Early Access Users

Who we are. Gnome Inc., a Delaware corporation, 1178 Broadway, 3rd Floor #3970, New York, NY 10001. This notice applies only to the invite-only early access version of Gnome, and only until we post our full Privacy Policy. When we post it, it replaces this notice, and we will tell you.

What we collect.

• Your account information — email address and password (stored as a hash).
• Your property address.
• The home records you create — paint records, projects, repairs and improvements, costs, and notes.
• Documents you upload, such as closing statements.
• Photos of paint can labels, used only to read the brand, color name, and product or brand ID.
• Device and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, and the pages and features you use.

How we use it. Only to operate and improve the early access Service, provide support, and communicate with you about the beta. We do not use your information for advertising.

Who receives it.

• Service providers that host and support the platform — our software developer and our cloud hosting provider, Amazon Web Services — under contract and only to provide services to us.
• Our third-party property data provider receives your property address only, to return property records and value information when those features are available.
• PaintDB (paintdb.com), our paint color data provider, receives only the paint brand, color name, and product or brand ID, and only when the paint feature is turned on. It does not receive your photo or any personal information.
• OpenAI, through its business API, reads the paint-can photos and documents you upload, such as closing statements, so we can display the information in them. OpenAI processes this content on our behalf and, under its business terms, does not use it to train its models.
• PostHog, our product analytics provider, receives device and usage data to help us understand how people use the Service. We do not use advertising pixels, social media trackers, or Google Analytics.
• We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.

Sensitive information. Please do not upload Social Security numbers or full financial account numbers. If a document contains them, redact them before you upload it.

How long we keep it, and deletion. We keep your beta information while you are in the program. You can download your data from your account at any time. Deleting your account permanently deletes all of your data, so download anything you want to keep first. You can also ask us to delete or export your information at any time by emailing privacy@gnomeyourhome.com. We will give you at least 14 days' notice before we delete beta data at the end of the program, unless your data is carried over into a regular Gnome account.

Security. Documents you upload, such as closing statements, are encrypted with AES-256 before they are stored, and only you can view the original. We also use access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure. If you think your account has been compromised, email security@gnomeyourhome.com.
